Bruce McClain’s graphite drawings on paper pay tribute to an often-unseen, vulnerable population — the elderly. This exhibit features a series of metaphorical portraits and ekphrasis poetry. McClain’s series was first inspired on a walk, when the artist discovered a withered leaf, in which he could see multiple aging faces. Through ebbing leaves, broken branches and gnarled limbs, McClain’s work tells a story about the Autumn of Life.
